Dear Pheasant Point Families,

Hello, my name is Katie Orf.  I am extremely excited to have the privilege of being your new principal.  I look forward to getting to meet you in person very soon.  We will be having an event “Popsicles with Principals” at Pheasant Point Elementary on July18th from 5-6pm. You will have the opportunity to meet me as well as Ms. Amy Byers, our new assistant principal.  All Pheasant Point families and staff are invited. We will be outside on the back playground.  Families are welcome to play outside as well as stop by and say hello to us. Thank you to our Pheasant Point PTO for their continued support and providing the popsicles.

I would like to give you a little bit of information about myself.  I am very close with my family.  I have a husband and two children, Nolan and Ellie.  Nolan will start Kindergarten this fall.  Ellie is 1 ½ years old and full of energy.  I enjoy watching Nolan’s T-ball or soccer games, being outside or at the lake.  I love to read and learn new things. I have been an Assistant Principal for the past six years, two in Warren County and four in Francis Howell.  I taught 3rd and 4th grades before this at Daniel Boone Elementary in Francis Howell. I spent five summers as a Summer Academy Principal as well.

Hello, my name is Amy Byers and I am beyond excited to join the Pheasant Point Elementary community.  I have been in Fort Zumwalt for 17 years total:  12 as a classroom teacher, five as a librarian, and the past two years I was also our district's K-12 Library Curriculum Coordinator.  I am currently attending Lindenwood University and working on my Specialist's Degree in Elementary Administration.  I have six children that I adore and I love spending all my spare time with them. Emily (23) is currently living in Australia, Eric (22) and Jacob (20) both live and work in the area. My three youngest keep me hopping with soccer, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, and softball,  Julia (12), Abby (10), and Allie (8).  I also love reading, running, and hiking. We are excited to meet all our Pheasant Point families, looking forward to seeing everyone soon!

Everyone we have spoken with has told us that Pheasant Point is an amazing school.  We feel honored to be part of such a fantastic school and community.  Families are a vital part of Pheasant Point.  Students grow and learn best when families and staff support one another and our students.  We will be reaching out soon for input from families regarding specific strengths of Pheasant Point and possible areas of growth from your perspectives.
